It’s time to ditch the huge weddings! Why invite 200 people that you may never see again when you can spend three blissful days with the 40 to 50 people that you love the most! And the best part? It is economical and incredibly more meaningful. Life is short, spend your time with those who matter most.

At Bison View Lodge, our superpower is the intimate micro wedding weekend! People LOVE getting married here for the gorgeous outdoor spaces that feature a rustic, “lodgey”, mountain vibe. We can sleep up to 50 people to stay overnight on the property and can accommodate up to 75 on the day of your wedding.

If you’ve never heard the term “wedding weekend”, it basically means that the bride and groom want all of their wedding guests staying together for the entire weekend. It is kind of like a family/friends weekend getaway meets wedding ceremony.

We would love to show you why a wedding weekend is far superior than a typical large wedding.

The lodge is also a perfect place to renew your vows with friends and family. Book one or more of our cabins for a special vow ceremony and spend the rest of the time hanging out with friends and family!

What is the maximum wedding size?

Because of our residential septic systems, we have a hard cap at 50 people for overnight accommodations. The total guest list “day of wedding” has a cap of 75 guests, including the wedding party. Most of our weddings are around 35-60 people.

What are your packages?

We strive for simple pricing. We have accommodation pricing and food/beverage is quoted separately. We simply require a 3 night minimum stay, whether you use all of the nights or not.

An event fee of $1,500 is charged for guest counts from 60-75 people. When we go over 60, we have to rent event bathrooms in order to not overload our residential septic system.

Where can the weddings take place?

The ceremony can take place indoors or out. When indoors, the Helen Barn is the spot. If you’re marrying indoors, this space may need to be turned over into a reception space as we do not have a separate wedding chapel.

There are several outdoor possibilities. The pickleball courts in the middle of the property have forest, barn, and lodge views depending on seating placement. There is a covered pavilion that could seat up to 75 with views of Mount Yonah and the barn as a backdrop. Another popular location is in front of the lodge with views of Yonah as well.

Do you have required vendors?

We have required food and beverage caterers if you choose catering as your option. We love our caterers because they do a fantastic job for our guests, and they leave the property in amazing condition!

Where can I hold the reception?

The barn is where most have their reception. It has seating and service for up to 60 people. It features a large kitchen, commercial smoker, and a very cool tiki bar.

For those that want an outdoor reception, the area in front of the barn as well as the side porches of the barn make a very scenic spot.

Do you provide chairs and tables for outdoor weddings?

We provide up to 70 white outdoor ceremony chairs.

For weddings booked prior to July 1st, 2023, our pricing does not include chairs or decorations for the outdoor ceremony. You may rent them from us at $3.50/each, or local event rentals, most of which charge over $4.00 and require a delivery fee.

Are we allowed to shoot off fireworks on the property?

Since we are next to the forest, Bison View Lodge prohibits fireworks being discharged on site in order to lower the risk of fire. However, sparklers may be used carefully.
