Cancellation & pet policy

PET/ANIMAL POLICY: ​  While we love our furry four legged friends, Bison View Lodge is a “Humans Only” property.  Bison View Lodge has a strict, no pet/animal policy due to several of our guests each year, including some of our owners, being sensitive to pet dander and other allergens.

There are several “pet friendly” properties within 20 to 30 minutes of Bison View Lodge as well as an excellent kennel facility.  Please let us know if you would like referrals.

PLATFORM CANCELLATION POLICY:   The rental agreement you sign after booking with platforms such as Booking.com, AirBnB, and VRBO supersedes this agreement, review it carefully. Please see Holiday Cancellation Policy below. On VRBO cancellations, a 10% fee will be assessed to cover administrative fees and credit card processing that were incurred by Bison View Lodge as a result of your booking with a credit card. Customers will need to reach out to the platforms if the “guest fee” charged by the platforms (AirBnB, VRBO, etc) is not refunded as those funds are not paid to Bison View Lodge. We encourage you to buy trip insurance when you book.

DIRECT BOOKING CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to check-in date will receive a full refund less a 10% cancellation fee to cover credit card processing fees and administrative expenses incurred due to the cancellation. Cancellations within 60 days are non-refundable. We encourage you to buy trip insurance.

MAJOR HOLIDAY CANCELLATION POLICY:  Major Holidays are defined as Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence Day (July 4), Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve (December 24), Christmas Day (December 25), New Years Eve (December 31), and New Years Day (January 1). Guests may not check in or out on a major holiday. Guests shall receive a 90% refund if cancellation occurs 90 days or more before the major holiday. There will be no refund within 60 days of the above “MAJOR HOLIDAYS”. We encourage you to buy trip insurance when you book.

REFUNDS: We strive to deliver a wonderful, memory making experience for our guests. We will make every reasonable effort to correct any problem that arises during your stay in a timely manner. There should be no expectation of refund, and there will be no refund because you are disappointed with the property you have chosen to rent or in the event that something associated with the property is not working to your satisfaction. Bison View Lodge LLC will not be liable under any circumstances to refund any unused portion of booked accommodations or services. Bison View Lodge has the right to send a check as opposed to a credit card reimbursement.

TRAVEL INSURANCE: We highly recommend guests purchase travel insurance to protect against financial loss from unforeseen conditions that may lead to cancellation (ex: sickness or injury, job loss or relocation, severe weather, revoked military leave, etc) A reputable website to shop for trip insurance is: https://www.insuremytrip.com/.

PRIVACY POLICY​​

 

BISON VIEW LODGE DATA SHARING POLICY:  Bison View Lodge does not share your information with anyone without your written permission. We do store customer data in customer relationship software that allows us to communicate with our customers in an efficient manner.  We store customer information in our system indefinitely. The most common examples are comments include booking reservations,  blog/social media posts, inquiries filled out on our website, or customer initiated text conversations with us.

COMMENTS & FORM REGISTRATIONS:  When visitors leave comments or fill out forms on the sites where your information is collected,  we use the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

MEDIA: If you upload/post images to the website or social media, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images you post.

COOKIES: If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
